  2. Forest programmes of forest schools & kindergartens, forest instruction and forest eco-tours are readily available for the public, especially for the youth to experience forests and care for nature.

  3. Cultural events take place in forests including music concerts, portry readings, exhibitions, etc. thereby recreating a variety of forest culture.

Korean forests account for 64% of the total landmass. Forests were in the extreme devastation during and after the Japanese occupation and the Korean War. However, owing to forest management and greening policies since the 1970s and all sweat and effort of the people. degraded forests have turned into rich forests and all the people can enjoy forest benefits today. Taking into account the growing demand for forest recreation, the Korea Forest Service has been creating forest recreation facilities including recreational forests, forest bathing places, multi-purpose cabins, etc. since the 1980s and established an institutional and legal base by enacting "Act on Forest Culture and Recreation."
